We are a development team based in Guildford, who formed out of a shared passion to create innovative, thoughtful and memorable gameplay experiences, after the closure of the historic UK-based Lionhead Studios! Today, we are proud to share that our immersive narrative adventure, Tin Hearts VR, is out now on VIVEPORT and VIVEPORT Infinity and we can’t wait for you to dive in and play!

Solve a Trail of Puzzles

Tin Hearts VR is a truly magical experience, and we believe that the virtual reality version is the most immersive way to experience the heartfelt adventure and beautiful world that we have created.

In this emotional and thought-provoking journey, you will peel off the layers of the life of Albert Buttewroth, a Victorian toy maker, by solving over 50 lemmings-like puzzles spanning across four distinctive acts as you guide a troop of tin soldiers to safety. Each puzzle is masterfully woven into the very fabric of the Butterworth family's Victorian home, from the meticulous garden, where the soldiers can bounce, glide and soar to their goal, to the inventor’s basement filled with the heights of innovation and technology.

As you progress, you will steadily uncover a variety of whimsical inventions each with a unique set of abilities to provide a safe route for the tin soldiers. By doing so, an abundance of treasured memories are left to be discovered, whilst some would rather be forgotten.

Experience a Resonating Tale

The story of Tin Hearts is multi-layered, told through treasured memories, photographs and handwritten letters. You will witness first-hand the delicate balance of family, the persistence of work, and the intrigue of the mysterious Guild of Toy Makers whilst you wander through Albert’s life. Telling a tragic fable, Tin Hearts VR lets you discover what brilliant minds do when the love for life, and the love for invention, are threatened by life itself.

The narrative is complemented greatly by the poignant original soundtrack courtesy of Matthew Chastney, our talented musician and composer. We encourage you to take your time working through the relaxing puzzles so that you can experience a soundtrack that seamlessly and sensationally merges the gameplay and sound.

Become a Master Of Time

A unique and accessible feature within Tin Hearts VR is the ability to pause, fast-forward and rewind time to observe and change the outcomes of your actions. The audio is designed around the player, accounting for any possible speed they may wish to run the game at. Whilst freezing time, for example, we do not want you to feel rushed to make a decision quickly - instead, we encourage you to be methodological in your puzzle-solving and to enjoy the relaxing experience that Tin Hearts VR offers. You will also not be punished for making mistakes, instead, you can simply reverse the directional movements of your tin soldiers - so no decision remains permanent.

Immerse Yourself in the Beautiful Victorian World

Tin Hearts VR has been designed exclusively from the ground up for Virtual Reality platforms, allowing players to fully immerse themselves in the beautiful Victorian environment. Experience an immersive world where you can directly control, touch and feel the game’s mechanics, such as wielding the power glove to give life to creations and zap spiders, holding and manipulating puzzle blocks within your hand, and changing the directions of toy drums and pinwheels! We especially encourage you to physically move closer and take a look at the surrounding world, the charming toys and the curious inventions in a unique and fairytale-like world.

We hope you enjoy your time in Tin Hearts VR! Follow us on Twitter to keep up to date with our latest announcements, and join our discord server if you have any questions, or want to share feedback, screenshots and videos!
